Lightweight Women's Double Sculls Repechage 1 - 16:00
1-3 -> SA/B, 4.. -> FC
Lane 1 - Kazakhstan (VORONOVA/OPACHANOVA) Lane 2 - Korea (KO/JI) Lane 3 - United States (HYKEL/GOLDSACK) Lane 4 - Japan (KUMAKURA/IWAMOTO) Lane 5 - Finland (STEN/NIEMINEN) Lane 6 - South Africa (WHITE/McCANN)
-The United States and Finland are the clear favorites to go first and second in this repechage with Japan the likely third qualifier for the semifinals. The most likely challenger for the third qualifying spot is South Africa.
Lightweight Men's Four Repechage 1 - 16:40
1-3 -> SA/B
Lane 1 - United States Lane 2 - Ireland Lane 3 - Netherlands Lane 4 - Egypt
-With three of the four crews advancing, this should be a "relatively" easy qualification for the Americans as the US, Ireland, and the Dutch all have shown significantly more speed than the Egyptians.
Women's Quadruple Sculls Repechage 1 - 16:50
1-4 -> FA, 5.. -> FB
Lane 1 - Australia Lane 2 - United States Lane 3 - Germany Lane 4 - Ukraine Lane 5 - Canada Lane 6 - Russian Federation
-This is the only repechage for the women's quad, so it should be a lively race for the four A Final qualifying spots. The United States, Germany, and the Ukraine should get through with Australia and Canada fighting for the fourth position.
Men's Eight Repechage 1 - 17:10
1-4 -> FA, 5.. -> FB
Lane 1 - Australia Lane 2 - Netherlands Lane 3 - Poland Lane 4 - United States Lane 5 - China Lane 6 - Germany
-The men's eight repechage should be a battle between the Aussies and the Americans for first place. Those two crews are probably the only locks to advance and the rest of the field should be tightly bunched for the last two spots.
Women's Pair Repechage 2 - 17:30
1-2 -> FA, 3.. -> FB
Lane 1 - Canada (HOSKINS/KOLKER) Lane 2 - China (WU/GAO) Lane 3 - Germany (WECH/DERLIEN) Lane 4 - United States (McGEE/CUMMINS)
-Based on the results from the two heats in this event, repechage 2 should be a close race between China, Germany and the United States for the two spots in the A Final. It should be noted that both athletes in the German pair raced yesterday in the women's eight along with with Anna Cummins of the USA. The German pair still has to race in the women's eight repechage on Wednesday.
